What documents/visa are required to travel to Mexico?

A valid passport with a recommended minimum of 6 months validity. If not a US citizen, please contact our travel advisor for further assistance.

What dates should we travel?

We recommend traveling in/out 1-2 days before and after. However, the wedding however specific travel dates are up to your discretion.

Is it required to stay at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun?

Yes, all wedding guests are required to stay at the resort and unfortunately no exceptions can be made. While it is a requirement to stay at the resort you can book using the provided room block or if you wish you can book independently from the link as well. (Please visit the travel section of the website to visit our booking link.)

How does transportation to the hotel work?

Our travel agent Laura will be reaching out to each of you in the next few months to get your flight information and arrange your direct airport transfers. She will also help with optional (but highly recommended) travel insurance. You may get your travel insurance on your own. Either way is fine but highly recommended.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Tropical Cocktail Hour For women, think semi-formal midi or maxi dress paired with strappy sandals. For men, think chino pants paired with a button-up linen shirt, and nice footwear. These are all just suggestions. We want our guests to wear whatever makes them feel their best!

Does the resort have a dress code for restaurants?

Casual Dining: For most of the resort's casual dining venues, resort casual attire is acceptable. This usually means shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops are fine. Fine Dining: For the resort's finer dining restaurants, a more upscale dress code is required. This includes collared shirts and long pants for men, and dressier attire for women. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Do I need to make reservations for dinner and if so when?

Only one restaurant requires reservations, the Hibachi tables at Moongate, and they also offer an a la carte option that doesn’t require reservations. This reservation can be arranged upon your arrival. None of the other restaurants accept reservations.

How does the hotel accommodate to food allergies?

Please advise the host when requesting a table of the allergy and the server will also verify this information upon taking your food order.

Is there anything at the resort that is not included in the all-inclusive rate?

The resort offers a wide variety of restaurants, beverages and activities that are included in your rate. If you’d like to enjoy a specialty bottle of wine, Japanese beer, spa services, private/speciality dinning, meal upgrades (such as Tomahawk steaks, lobster tail, etc) excursions, or cabana rentals those will incur additional charges.
